Marlene enjoys every opportunity to spend time with her family, especially if it includes her awesome grandchildren.  A life-long joy of singing has led to many years of participation in an a capella chorus that performs in the community and in competitions around the world.  All of that doesn’t leave much time for reading, sewing, cooking, spectator sports and all those other fun things in life.

Walking on the Great Wall in China, viewing Hong Kong Harbor from Victoria Peak, cruising the Yangtze River, driving the North Country in England, thrill at the majesty of the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace, sailing down the Grand Canal in Venice, marvel at the beautiful walled city of Dubrovnik, explore the majestic Rockies, stroll the beautiful white sand beaches, and attend outstanding theatre in New York and London all contribute to the awe and wonder of travel experiences.  Continued study and accreditation of products and destinations through Virtuoso, designated destinations, hotels and resorts, cruise and tour experiences all expand Marlene’s knowledge and expertise of our vast world.

Q: The itinerary for my own dream vacation includes…

A:  A south African adventure visiting the wineries and sights in Cape Town, taking the Blue Train to Johannesburg, then a private game reserve to see the magnificent animals and ending with the spectacular Victoria Falls.

Q:  A destination that really surprised me was....

A:   The diversity of Vancouver.  This city is very cosmopolitan, yet exudes a casual atmosphere.  It offers a myriad of sights, nature, excellent dining and a wide variety of entertainment.  A city that is a destination.  

Q: One piece of advice I always give my clients is....

A:  When planning a travel itinerary focus on three things you want to see or experience, then you can add your other experiences.    

Q: A great family destination right now is.....

A:  Still the all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean or Walt Disney World.
