Q: The itinerary for my own dream vacation includes… A: Traveling first-class to Sydney where I’d begin a 10-day trip visiting areas like Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, Kangaroo Island and Tasmania. Then I’d fly from Melbourne to Auckland to visit New Zealand for a 10-day tour including Rotorua, Wellington, Queenstown and Christchurch.
Q: My top 3 hotel experiences are… A: The Peninsula Chicago, because the accommodations and service are incredible. The Ca’Segrado in Venice, because the room I had overlooking the Grand Canal was everything you would dream of, sitting in the open window looking out over the gondolas in a room that made me feel like a Duchess. The Bellagio Las Vegas, because Las Vegas is one of my favorite cities and the Bellagio is a gorgeous hotel with a great pool right in the middle of it all.
Q: A destination that really surprised me was.... A: Kenya. Even with the high expectations that I came in with, it still blew me away. From the mountains to the plains, its people and its animals take your breath away and change you in ways impossible to describe.
Q: One piece of advice I always give my clients is.... A: Always travel with your documents and valuables on your person! I can’t tell you how many trips are ruined because someone put their medication in their checked bag which got lost in transit, or was surprised when their top-of-the-line lap top or camera was stolen out of their checked bag.
Q: A great family destination right now is..... A: The Riviera Maya just south of Cancun. The Riviera Maya area has great beaches, family friendly all-inclusive hotels and it is rich in activities to enjoy both on and off the resort.
